FAQs

Do I need council consent?

In most cases, no building consent is required.
Our cabins are under 30m² and classed as detached accessory buildings under Schedule 1 of the Building Act 2004.
As long as they don’t have plumbing or kitchen facilities and are used as a sleepout, home office, or studio, consent is usually not needed.
If you’re unsure, it’s always a good idea to check with your local council’s building officer — especially if you plan to connect plumbing or live in the cabin full-time.

How many weeks bond do I pay?

Our bond is 4 weeks.

Do you deliver nationwide?

We can deliver throughout Auckland and the Waikato region. 

Delivery fees vary depending on your location and site access (we use a hiab or truck for placement).

What kind of site do I need?

You’ll need a flat, level, and easily accessible area for delivery. Our truck or hiab needs clear access to place the cabin safely. If you’re unsure, we can check your site beforehand or review photos to confirm suitability.

What power connection is required?

Each cabin comes with a 16 AMP power lead — it plugs into a standard external outlet.
You can run LED lights, a laptop, heater, or small appliances with ease.
We recommend using a dedicated power circuit for consistent supply.

What is the rental process?
  1. Contact us to confirm availability and get a quote.
  2. We’ll arrange a site check and confirm delivery details.
  3. You’ll sign a rental agreement and pay the bond and first week’s rent.
  4. We’ll deliver and set up the cabin — usually within 1–2 weeks.
  5. You can enjoy it immediately — just plug in and settle in!
How much does delivery cost?

Delivery depends on distance and site access.
Local Waikato deliveries start from around $150–$250, while Auckland or regional deliveries are quoted individually.
We’ll always confirm this upfront before you commit.

What happens at the end of the rental?

When your rental ends, we’ll arrange a pickup date that suits you.
You’ll need to clean the cabin and ensure it’s in good condition.
Once checked, we’ll refund your bond (less any applicable cleaning or damage fees).
